The Book

In response to the interest in ‘Systemic Coaching and Constellations’  it was updated and published in an expanded 3rd edition in 2020. This 3rd and final edition offers a comprehensive and practical introduction to the stance, principles and practices of systemic coaching and constellations.

It offers a rich resource for coaches that includes exercises and many examples of how this methodology can be applied with individuals, groups and teams. Participants of the workshops and trainings – whether new to this methodology or already experienced – are invited to read at least the first three chapters to see if there is a personal resonance with the approach. Participants of the Fundamentals Parts II & III are required to read the rest of the book alongside the embodied training so as to deepen insight and build capacity for application.

Author John Whittington.

“I wouldn’t have believed the simple power of this approach had the training not been so experiential. It was excellent and I found the examples very helpful to understand how the methodology could be applied with individuals and teams.”

Nicola Maxwell, Fundamentals Part I, Edinburgh, 2020

“This is unequivocally the best training I have participated in in the past twenty years.”

Sheena Bailey, (PCC) coach and coach supervisor

“I applied what we learnt and it helped my client understand the dynamics of her team in a completely new way!”

Nadege Welsch, Cross Cultural coach

“The quality of facilitation and teaching is very high. Inspiring!”

Orianne Corman, coach and facilitator

“The Fundamentals training left me feeling enriched and curious.”

Sabine Stritch, Leadership Development coach

“Extremely powerful personal and professional development.”

Alison Grace, leadership coach

“The hidden rules of healthy relationship systems come alive in this wonderful experiential training.”

Cristian Nicolae. Executive coach

Following this sequence of trainings and workshops on John’s first visit to Australia he facilitated a session on the hidden dynamics in family relationships – ‘SIBLINGS: From Protection to Connection‘ – at The Australian ‘Constellations Intensive’. See more about that here.
The origins of our presence in Australia began with an invitation from Ingrid and her working partnership with Vivi.
With thanks to you both.

Ingrid van der Aa

Originally from the Netherlands, Ingrid’s varied career started after gaining her Masters’ degree in Business Economics. She worked in corporations in the UK, The Netherlands and in Australia, in Senior Finance Management and more recently in Transition Coaching. She is also an accomplished artist with a Masters’ degree of Fine Arts from University of Sydney.

Ingrid trained as a facilitator of systemic organisational constellations at The Bert Hellinger Institute in the Netherlands. She experienced John’s facilitation in an online constellations conference and invited him to teach in Australia.

Vivi Aguiar

Originally from Brazil, Vivi has a Masters’ degree in Business Management. Transitioning her professional journey from Commercial to Human Resources, she had an extensive career as an executive HR director and as an organisational development consultant. She worked for international companies with headquarters in the US and Europe.

Vivi trained as a facilitator of systemic organisational constellations at The Bert Hellinger Institute in the Netherlands where she and Ingrid met.
